Holodomor Remembrance Mass and Exhibition

In the early 1930s, Stalin was determined to destroy Ukrainian aspirations for independence. He weaponised food to deliberately and systematically starve millions of innocent Ukrainians to death. It was named the Holodomor.

2022 marks the 90th anniversary of the Holodomor. 

This Sunday, we will hold a Ukrainian mass at St. Patricks RC Church at 1:45pm followed by an exhibition at our Ukrainain club, 4pm to 6pm. All are welcome.

We will also be accepting non perishable foods on Sunday, between 2pm and 6pm, and this will be donated to the Welcome Centre in Huddersfield.

На початку 1930-х років Сталін був сповнений рішучості знищити українські прагнення до незалежності. Він використовував їжу як зброю щоб навмисно і систематично морити голодом мільйони невинних українців. Це було названо Голодомором.

У 2022 році виповнюється 90-та річниця Голодомору.

Цієї неділі ми проведемо українську службу Божу в церкві Святого Патріка о 14:00, після чого відбудеться виставка в нашому клубі з 16:00 до 18:00.

Ми також збиратимемо продукти що не швидко псуються у неділю між 14:00 і 18:00, і їх буде передано до Центру прийому гостей у Хаддерсфілді.
